| Transformation was created during a Slade visit in a Berlin sculpture park. I used two big helium-filled balloons, which allowed me to explore Germany, a place with which I share a difficult history, in a new way. A camera, which was programmed to take a photograph every minute, was connected to the balloons. The balloons and their aerial images are analogies of our inspirations, ambitions and visions of life. The balloons’ string and handle were connected to abandoned objects in the park. These images are analogies to needs, dilemmas and everyday life.
